Far Cry 2

Ugh...where do I start??

Well first Far Cry 2 is a first person shooter..

the Story is about a country somewhere in Africa that's under some civil war and you're a merc hired to capture some Arms Dealer named the Jackal. OMG Bruce willis in the game????? Oh right of course not.

The game is a good concept and all but they handled it so badly that it hurts. First of all the voice acting...It just plainly sucks. It seems like they hired the most crack speed addicted guy that they could find and ask them to read lines. When they talk they never stop to breath or anything. Nope. They go on and on without stopping and without forming proper emotion. Yeah and that's because there's several baddies at once. I mean the seem so fucking hyper that it's just plain annoying. Speaking of the npcs....are they fucking super humans or something? first of all if one sees you, they ALL do. They see you through ANYTHING. Walls, Trees, Grass, Rock anything. You can not hide. The Sniper are the worst because no matter how you approach them they spot you if you're infront of them...same goes with guys with zookas. I mean I got sniped by a guy with a Carl Gustav...How is THAT possible? especially since I had a sniper myself and I couldn't even spot the guy before he spotted me. The big terrain that they allow you to explore is cool...at first but it gets boring and alot of work pretty fast. it's not amusing when you got to travel 20 minutes just to get to your next objective. SAVE ALOT! yeah because trust me you're a wimp in this game. You die faster than the bad guys sometimes. especially near the end and you will hate it when you got ran over or grenade raped after you traveled during 40 minutes to find those mother fucking diamond briefcase and forgot to save to a safe house. Also travelling offroad is a bad idea as there is so many rocks and junk in the way that most of the time your vehicule will get stuck. Traveling by the road is even worst because there's a guard point every freaking 5 minutes. And in this game EVERYBODY HATES YOU. You buddies are a pain in the ass, they're more a burden than help. And they frequently die of heart attacks for no reason or go stand in fire like dumbasses.

The multiplayer sucks...Its one of those game that once you have the best gun you don't give a shit about the other one. A gun so fucking powerful that you can over snipe sniper, one-shot anyone even on limbs and have plenty of ammo to last long enough. People always take the same lame maps. The Kill boxes or the Sniping maps and there is so many bugs in the game that sometime you think you hit someone but naw you're just shooting the wall like an idiot and that guy kills you. The Grenade launcher is a waste of diamond to get as you most of the time need to hit people 3 time to kill them. 1 only if you Head shot them...Yeah you have to head shot people to kill them with a grenade...go figure...you only got 3 nade they could at least made them effective... Sniping is way to fucking easy in this game also. You don't shake so your crossair is pretty much always dead center on where you aim so Sniper can have fun while people that find sniping lame have to deal with crappy AKs that aren't worth shit and shotguns that shot everywhere except infront of you.

The game is freaking long and repetitive. Most of the time you do mission that doesn't even give diamonds as a reward. all that to end stupidly and make you go FUCK YOU GAME! FUCK YOU!

So yeah....the only good thing about that game is the map maker which is alright but still would need some improvement. I would totally suggest renting the game before buying because well it's not that good and is not worth paying more than 20$ (CAN) for it. Once Again, Ubisoft Montreal shamed me and all canadians. :shakehead:
